Two weeks today and Immy might be in theatre!

I’d planned to write a new blog post this evening, and now it’s 11pm and I need to go to sleep..

I can’t believe we’ll be in Missouri, with Immy probably in theatre or recovery, exactly two weeks today. I think we’ve done more of the essential preparations now, it’s just tying up loose ends here with work, fundraising and thank-yous, repairing leaking roofs, cancelling stuff…. the list is pretty long actually. Luckily we’re too busy to really start to fret about what our little Immy will be going through…

There are two fab fundraisers this weekend I wanted you to know about. Firstly my three eldest nieces doing the coast-to-coast cycle ride over 3 days. We need the weather to be a bit kinder, because they’ll manage it – only torrential rain would stop them. They are phenomenally fit and strong for 12, 10 and 9-year olds and I’m so proud of them!

The other event is our friend Richard and his cousin doing a half-marathon in Lichfield. Good weather would be nice for them too… I think we’d all agree we’ve had enough rain to make the grass grow the past few weeks!

There are “events” pages for both of these, and they’d love a bit more sponsorship if you were interested. They’ve already raised over £1200 between the two events which is fantastic!
